In the series "Interludes" french born artist Nicolas Manenti (27) is sitting at an empty desk, reaching again and again the telephone receiver but without dialing a number or starting a call. In another sequence he walks, a security officer, through endles corridors, poses in front of an unvisible mirror or listens to a funneled fire extinguisher. Loneliness in empty office floors at night leads the mind astray.
Nevertheless Nicolas Manenti's works never evoke horror scenarios but a certain momentum of irony.There is always hope that a friendly voice will answer on the other end of the line.

In his flying visit in the studio of Andreas Sachsenmaier and Joachim Seinfeld he presents a choice of drawings and installations of the last years that originate mainly in the context of found or collected material.
