The works of Nicolas manenti collects randomly and fragmentary the signs of a low working daily routine which proposes a cold anti-heroic vision of the urban worker’s environment.
In His work marks of perception like notion of time and image’s readability are disturbed by fragmentation and metamorphosis which reflects the permanent situation of doubt of the artist.
In the imperfection of the copies made of poor materials, in the incomplete sequence of date-stamps, in the ambiguous fascination of the paintings, are showed the isolated universes which tries in a absurd way to go beyond the material limits as a perpetual escape to a rest of a phantomatic need of freedom.
