The principle of Implantation is to randomly copy different historical plans of the same city, using carbon paper, on the same ground. 

«The French term implantation means colony or settlement. Its temporal component becomes obvious by the layering of the plans. (...) In the center, the carbon copies accumulate into an agglomeration, which seems to render the traces of human settlements.» (...)
